One-hour wait for baggage at T5 - Worth complaining?
To be honest one benefit of the demise of IRIS is that immigration is now so slow that my luggage has been on the carousel by the time I've got there on about half my last 10 flights to LHR or LGW.
Where that hasn't been the case, LHR has been worse than LGW; indeed LGW seems noticeably improved from an admittedly low starting point.
As to the OP's question: no, an hour's wait is totally unacceptable and just drives more people to go hand luggage only, with all the ensuing problems that that can cause.
