OP, why do you have to fly Delta. I see a pretty low price on American if you can leave early in the morning, and prices on JetBlue that are significantly lower than you're seeing on Delta. So, waiting or picking another carrier are both options.

Also, go to a travel site like Expedia and look at vacation packages and see what you get.
