I have used this at an Ibis I sometimes use. In the past it would take a while to get my room key as they would need to me to fill in a paper form with all the details that they already have from my account, but they always insisted on a new form each stay. I did the online check in the other week and on arrival I had to sign the smoking policy and was given my key and drink voucher in seconds. So on this sample size of 1 hotel, the new system works well!
