The MH metal to MH metal MCT at KUL is 1:00 (with the only exception of flights to/from SZB) so it's just logical that Expedia would sell them. And in my limited experience 1 hour is more than enough time, including taking in consideration the fact that MH seems to run an operation where punctuality doesn't seem to be in high regard.

I would hypothesize it's a result of better algorithms and the much wider choice of flight combinations you get with a 1:00 MCT vs. the 2:00 one forced on the website. Indeed, on the SIN-LGK routing the website only shows the same 3 options no matter what day, and price these 3 according to their availability; a GDS shows 19 combinations, including those that at the same price of the ones on MH's website have more convenient (read: competitive) connections.
What a mess. The new MH CEO will really have a lot of work to do!
