I need to buy a macbook and want to use points. The pay for purchases with points option is 167 points per dollar ($.0059/point) which sucks but allows me to buy a discounted macbook (ie $599 off at macmall). The apple store within the membership rewards section is 160 points per dollar but is at full MSRP.

So is there any trick/workaround to buy an Apple macbook for points at a better rate? Thanks in advance for any help; I did try to RTFF but didn't see anything related to this.
