I read through several threads and see J availability from AKL (or reverse) to SFO/LAX/HNL is non-existent with the most thorough and recent reports I found from six months ago.

Has availability improved at all even at T-330 or is it the same?

UA.com is virtually uncheckable since it loads UA metal in the calendar. Someone suggested ANA but it's only searchable a week at a time. Are there any other suggestions for searches?

I'm trying not to backtrack through AU or Asia.
