Transfer KA-AA successful 1/4/2015

Yesterday I was able to transfer from KA 804 to AA 128 using the transfer desk. I was originally on AA 288, PVG-ORD, and had my boarding passes printed in the Wing. However, due to a delayed inbound AC, I rebooked on AA 128 PVG-DFW. The rebooking severed the relationship between the CX PNR and the AA PNR, so the Wing wasn't able to print my new boarding passes. Upon arrival at PVG, someone from CX met us to escort us through immigration to assist in getting new boarding passes (we were in First). As we passed the transfer desk, I noticed the very top of someone's head sitting behind the AA desk, so we tried there first. The woman behind the desk, really, really, really, didn't want to help. She told me because of the rebooking she couldn't print my onward passes DFW-AUS. I told her I didn't care since I could take care of that in Dallas. She finally relented, printed the boarding passes (lo and behold, out come my DFW-AUS passes) and we went through the transfer door and into the security screening. All this was between 13:30 - 14:00, and the AA flights all leave PVG around 18:00.
