I just received my first Amex companion cert after having the Delta Reserve for a year. I'd like to consider using this for my fiance and I (on these flights) but realize you need A or I availability. I will wait and see if prices fall. I agree with the poster who said he says more downside to the price than upside.

When using a companion cert - is it more favorable to get a ticket in the A or I bucket? I the difference just price?
