I actually did upgrade my return flight with Avios .
My booking shows that i am in Club World and I was able to reserve a seat in Club World.
I will try to call tomorrow morning the UK office since my local office will be closed.

No problem. Glad to help.
I probably should have spotted earlier that the Avios had not been deducted from my account.
I am not sure if I had waited to get to the airport that they would have been able to do something. I was in the US and phoned BA US but did have to phone BA in the UK.
Hope you get it sorted tomorrow.
It did take a few minutes so if phoning from overseas do not use the phone in your hotel room as the charges can be high for international calls
