I cannot wait for CX to retire all its A340s.

Late last year I had the pleasure of re-experiencing the coffin seat on a flight from HYD. Flew that route multiple times previously and HYD is not supposed to be a 'lottery' route (i.e. it was always 33G).

I wasn't paying much attention (I was late already - otherwise I would've noticed there were 2 engines on each side) so didn't realize CX swapped the plane that day until I boarded the plane. ISM greeted me and when I saw the layout, the first thing I said to her was ... what is this old junk doing on this route? Wasn't trying to be insulting ... it just happened.

It certainly makes me appreciate cirrus seat so much more!!
