yes you hit the nail on the head, I have bought domestic several times and thought that all FPs book in M

Only thing I can think of is ability to book one-ways and forego the Sat-night requirement. Otherwise the price is almost the same as booking individual round-trips in V, the lowest Flex bucket.
Avoiding the Saturday night stay was a big deal to me. One of the key selling features of the FP.
The other reason that I bought a couple of extra FPs was that I had selected the extra AQM option and I used these miles to get SE again, without doing a mileage run.
