If you're super interested in the BA FPP scheme, why not also approach them now—find out the head of the programme and write her or him a letter—and ask what they think? It's also a good idea to ask a specific question or two, something non obvious that cannot be discovered elsewhere, but insightful to suggest you thought about their programme, so that your letter is not just a recruitment enquiry but something that requires a few moments of thought.

At worse you'll get a lukewarm reply or no reply at all which will tell you something important about the place. At best your enthusiasm will be remembered and you might have a chance to learn more about it.
