Since it's not completely illegal for all intra-Schengen travel, that makes it anything but completely illegal.

The notion of "security" by obscurity is amusing, but it is a failure on its face when dealing with locations readily accessible to anyone around there with enough money or credit to float on the booking of a freely refundable ticket.

Disappearing factual info won't change the facts and their ready availability to the free public with a will to know and the bare minimums of a brain and what I mentioned in the prior paragraph.

As long as the person and their belongings have been screened effectively to prevent the person from transporting contraband weapons/explosives/incendiaries on my flight, what's the difference? ID is not security.
