LOL, adding to what lonelycrowd and other have been saying, I live in Europe and I found an amazing deal with TK so I bought a ticket with them (via IST) and then bought a connecting flight out of the US (Therefore I was just transiting the US). I was SSSSed at IST but the check was smooth.

I've entered the US in a lot of different situations and probable have done it more than a hundred times, but this time it was the first time ever that I was sent to secondary inspection.

After waiting for 3 hours, the officer finally called me an asked something very generic regarding my last entry to the U.S., a 30 second conversation, and then he politely returned me my documents and asked me if I would be able to catch my flight. (I was the last passenger to board even when I had like 6 hours to spare ). He didn't even ask me to show him the ticket, but maybe he saw that this wasn't the first connecting through the U.S. albeit now with a weird airline.

Something that caught my attention was that the room was full of passengers from the TK flight, around 30 or so... so probably the system is sending more and more people with relations to Turkey to secondary due to the current situation there.

It's really sad that now a lot of people are suffering because of the situation in the middle east, but well, as I'm not an American Citizen and I want to enter their country I think I should respect the work they're doing protecting the U.S.

On the other hand, I'm not sure if I will book TK to the U.S. anymore
