For my upcoming KUL-BKK flights the bidding range is MYR200-850. Little benefit given OWS for lounge access, but might be worth it for some.
Decided to give the paid upgrade a go with the minimum bid of AUD$70 each way and both cleared about 3 days out.
The KUL-BKK sector was in 1A with amazing legroom and the return was in 2A on a BSI aircraft with AVOD.
Overall reasonable value given the good quality of meals served and less crowded cabin on the outbound (return was 100% load factor in J).
