Interesting idea -- the difference between traveling via SIN, HKG, DXB, or TYO is only a few hundred miles. However, I suspect that TYO would struggle to compete given the frequencies provided by other Kangaroo Route competitors. NZ-TYO-EU could be competitive given only a single stop is required in TYO, but it's not as large a market as AU-TYO-EU.
