I don't know if this will be any help (might be if you live in Colorado and need an ATM in New York, but probably not if you live in Colombia and need an ATM in New York). Some credit unions belong to a network that allows members to use their own, or other member credit unions' ATMs for free. I've run across one called the Co-op network, and know of another network that also lets you use some bank and other ATMs, too. I don't know the second network has a name.
