I stay at this hotel a lot (maybe 20 stays in the last two years) and I'm mixed.

1) In 20 stays as a Diamond, I've never been upgraded to one of the nicer corner rooms. I ask every time and they tell me I would have to pay for it.
2) The rooms are very small - which isn't unusual for NYC but there are better options.
3) Hotel is very convenient if you are working or taking the subway in the area , but taxis are slow because the area is so congested.
4) Both bars are ok and the service is good
5) The restaurant is average for breakfast but below average for dinner
