It depends entirely on where you went to school!

I don't have an "Estuary" accent despite coming from London/Essex border. I agree, however, that those serving the public should be understandable. Indeed, I've had problems understanding FAs on other airlines, mainly because they mumbled.

The problem with accents I've found is dialect rather than accent.IMO.
