I flew from YYZ on Thursday night, and when I boarded all the window blinds were down. Then before we pushed back, the crew asked over the PA that "to maximise relaxation" would all passengers at the window seats lower the blinds. Although it was a little pointless anyway as by the time the sun came up, the cabin lights had been on for a good half an hour.
