Normally I was thinking AMS to JFK and then some 210 LAX or other USA city.
But I also read some nice stories about doing a run heading to Asia, like AMS-LHR-Dubai-Singapore or AMS-KUALUM-SIG.
I would really try the business service from Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways. (to bad that I wont be earning Avios Tier bonus)
Hoping to get some help from you.
Budget:1800 Euro
For that money, you will struggle with an Asia trip, as BCN/OSL/CPH - DOH - BKK (which tends to be the cheapest route and which is on budget, excluding positioning flights) is "only" 560 TP. (BCN is marginally the cheapest but BCN-DOH is on an A320).

For your remaining 240 TP you could do AMS - LGW - MLA on a weekend for €690, or any of the other destinations around the Med or OTP/SOF/HEL) or you could look at a few connecting flights ex-BKK via KUL on MH (but you would need at least six legs, which makes it a logistical challenge).
