I am a fan of both, but for Bangkok the spa cottages are a great way to relax in the middle of the city.
I have always had excellent massages at iSawan. High ranking members of the Royal Family even have been known to have treatments at iSawan.
The Peninsula also has excellent therapists, and the most beautiful spa I have ever experienced at a city hotel. On the other hand, I have never even bothered with the spa at the Four Seasons because the reception area is so visually unappealing.
