It all depends on route and crew.

Last year, Mrs DrP and I found that on a return from from DEL-LHR in J there were no kits put out and as I found it embarrassing asking for one (which in hindsight should not have been an embarrassing request) I put off asking for it until I needed a toothbrush, I approached a FA and I was asked what i required from it and the member of staff opened a new kit and simply passed me the item requested and stowed the rest of the kit away!

Needless to say I was annoyed but thought it would belittle me to kick up a fuss at the time. If it were to happen again I would now make my disapproval known.
