Refrigerator in room requested at check in. Travel with disposable cutlery and plates. Large zip lock bags are ideal to store the left overs in the refrigerator. The plates and cutlery delivered with a first meal at the hotel are far nicer than the disposables and clean up nicely in the bathroom sink for reuse.

The issues to note include requesting the mini bar empty to store the take away and requesting the cleaning staff not clean away the cutlery and plates (hide in a drawer).
