Nonsense. I stay at primarily 4 and 5 star hotels, and can't recall one that wouldn't accommodate me. I'm in a Presidential Suite at the moment, and had KFC deliver the other night when some family members were hungry later in the evening. The hotel staff even brought it up and collected for it.
Perhaps you should choose better quality hotels with actual customer service?
