Isn't it $85 for TSA Pre Check? I just can't swing it right now. My parents in Alaska and my brother in California are taking care of me right now, thank goodness.

The best way to get TSA Pre is to apply to the Nexus program that lets you cross between Canada and the US in the fast lanes. A Nexus card is $50 for 5 years and comes with TSA Pre and Global Entry. For me, being in Seattle its totally worth it as they always have a Pre lane open. Not having to remove laptops, shoes and liquids is really nice. At smaller airports when the Pre lane is not open (like BUR) they mark my BP and tell me not to take my jacket or shoes off, so it is still a nice bonus.
