SJT is open and operating, w/an AA flight due in at noon.

The weather tomorrow (Sat 1/3) should be much better than today.

If the flight is straight out cancelled and you opt not to accept AAs rebooking, then indeed you'll get your $$ back.

If the flight is cancelled, the chances are great that there won't be many available seats for rebooking the same day, esp to accommodate a party of 4 - so - if I absolutely had to back in Dallas by Sunday, I'd probably opt for the rental car.
