Thanks for taking the time to enhance the Wiki. BTW, what a nice problem to have regarding your points!
I don't think I want a retention offer on this card although it has been a sweetheart for me in quite a few ways.
March is my anniversary month. I have 0% APR for the first year and I carry about a $1750 revolve. So, I will be shopping for a supplemental 0% card to transfer or take the $ out of the emergency fund. But, it's the travel redemptions that have me worn out. I have covered about $1800 worth of travel expenses, yes, all small potato types, but especially hotel and rental car rates, due to two house hunting trips career related, not reimbursable. And, a fun type excursion, too.
So, I want to cover the final hotel expense from October, '14, and turn my attention elsewhere. I am an AU on the DH's Arrival and we have three travel charges on his and have til July for his anniversary.
I have the DH Arrival to spend on and the DS Sept-January $300 CB promotion to complete. Will be so GLAD to get that one over with!
So, I think my Arrival is headed for the pasture. Except for one concern:
The $8K CL I will lose.
I recently got a US MC retention offer of additional AF waiver. I am thinking to try and transfer the Arrival CL to the US MC CL. Is there a pitfall ahead to try this or will this work? I barely use the US MC. Seems my argument should be I can use it more if the CL is larger. Thoughts? Thanks.
