Best seats for a couple on mid haul A321

I know that on some aircraft there is a disadvantage in sitting in row 1, as there are no facilities for putting shoes or whatever, less convenient screens, etc.

Does anyone have experience of the mid haul A321s in this respect? I recently flew on one of these (LHR-TLV) in a single seat and found it pretty fantastic (I know quite a few travellers complain about the sleeping aspects, but it was a day flight so we shall ignore that issue for now ...). I hope to be flying with my wife in March and have pretty much the whole cabin to choose from, so I was wondering what might be the best seats for a couple.

My questions are:

If a pair, to take row 1 as opposed to the other rows, or not?

Maybe take two single seats on opposite sides (in other words, diagonally opposite each other) - maybe more comfortable, but a long distance from each other ... What about row 7A/F - both single seats on opposite sides of the aisle - best of both worlds?

Maybe take a single, and the aisle seat across the aisle from it. That way one of us gets the benefit of the vast expanse of the single seat. Is the aisle wide? I thought that on the 777s two seats on either side of the aisle would be great. Is that the case here as well?
