Hi all

I got an interesting email today from Penrith Points. Here's a copy of the email and my reply. Could readers please refrain from publishing answers to the site's questions in the future? By all means post a message telling people that a new 55 or 75 points question has been added but please don't publish the answers on flyertalk.

JerryFF - could you please edit out the answer to the current question from your earlier post?

Here's the email and my reply.

cheers Peter

Dear Jason

Thanks for your email.

The website you refer to is 'Flyertalk' which is a website devoted to the
accumulation of points and miles on frequent flyer and other such points
schemes. It is primarily a discussion board and your link takes you to a
topic I started on the subject of your Penrith Points program. Flyertalk is
also something of a community of like minded 'points hunters' with interests
in travel and travelling subjects.

Although I am the author of the original post, I am not the owner of this
website. As a registered member however I can make my fellow community
members aware of your request. Flyertalk members by and large are fairly
decent people and I am sure that they will be happy to refrain from posting
the answers to questions on your website. Besides its more fun to hunt
around for the answers anyway!

If you go back to the post you will now see that I have added details of
your request.

May I take a moment to say what a great idea Penrith Points is and I hope it
continues to grow. Flyertalk is read by thousands of people each day and I
am sure that many overseas people have signed up for Penrith Points. The
free publicity Penrith is getting at present would otherwise cost a
significant amount I'm sure.

May I also please make two requests.

Firstly I note that you have taken down the redemption reward for theatre
tickets. This is, I'm sure, a popular reward. Will you reinstate it in the
future?

Also, and I think I'm speaking on behalf of most Flyertalkers here, could
you please offer a reward on your web site by way of the exchange of Penrith
Points for frequent flyer points on an airline program eg Qantas Frequent
Flyer. This would be a great addition to your rewards.

Thanking you
