Unfortunately for those terminating in Paris, the line to get to passport control was backed all the way up the stairs and into the tram station. I felt sorry for those people.
I saw the same thing but was really groggy and it didn't hit me when I saw it, other than I couldn't discern between EU and non-EU lines/queues - it looked like one big hot mess.

Does Paris have any priority immigration?

New Years is a bad time to go to tourist spots. AMS was a breeze Monday and today, though...
