I'm not the expert but are you talking about crediting to American Airlines?

There are 3 different ways to earn. Miles, Points or Segments,. Q fare earns 50% Elite qualifying points but 100% Elite Qualifying miles. Are you qualifying on points or miles? The points way of qualifying is for those using premium fares to earn status quicker. Most qualify on miles with Q earn 100% miles
