Do I get equal praise for them for all the Amex 241's that I have never used, thus permanently enriching the pool of available Avios seats ??

The very fact that I am asking the question should suggest to the more level headed that despite all the flying that I do, this is not something that I have ever done before !
Its a shame you feel compelled to explain more on the back of some of the whiny responses here. You're one of BAs best customers and are doing absolutely nothing wrong.
