You will have massive problems on European trains / buses with an oversized bag. Whilst people do take steamer trunks onto them it isn't a pleasant experience as space is limited. Plus what are you do with it when going to / from hotels, within the hotel itself?
Do yourself a favour and buy a smaller bag & a small rucksack
