kind of off topic- but recently did HKG-SYD on Y on a red eye flight. First meal was disgusting, no surprises there, breakfast was exactly the same options as with every other flights ex-HKG (i.e. congee or egg) and was better than dinner. The issue: no snack whatsoever for this 9 hours flight. No snack basket, no cup noodles, no nothing! I had a rather long and unpleasant chat with the purser down the back, apparently all aussie routes are considered too short to stock any form of snacks. what bs! At the end, i was reluctantly presented with some sh**y peanuts left over from the 1st drink service. I have written to CX, yet to receive a reply though
