My former roommate used to live in BOS and her fiance lived in JNB. She did that route frequently.

FWIW, she always said that she preferred to fly BOS-ATL-JNB and then JNB-AMS-BOS. The JNB-AMS leg is on KLM. She said that even in J, the JNB-ATL leg is just too long.
