I see this thread has not been active for a while, but if someone is still monitoring it, I'd appreciate some help!

My question is, how much do I then pay for UA flights booked through Miles&More - is it the figure United gives on their MP page, or the Lufthansa number?
The difference in miles is not that big (50,000 vs. 60,000 miles for a return flight to Europe on LH vs. UA respectively) but the additional taxes and surcharges are almost an order or magnitude different (way more expensive for LH).
