If you're already gold, your timer starts clicking on 24 Nov 2014. From this date you have 12 months to gain 24000 miles or 12000 miles plus 4 segments on A3/OA. Everything is explained in Wiki here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/aegea...tails-m-b.html
