I intend on staying in Europe for a long time (and at least when I leave, I store my stuff at a warehouse - I have about 100 kg of stuff total there), and yes, whenever I would not want to continue doing this, I would just throw the bag away (with my experience, I'll beat the hell out of it well before then!)

The internet market of Amazon et al is far cheaper than buying anything there. I recently did the same thing with skis, buying a pair for $200 that would have cost me $600 there!

I would want the duffle to have a hard bottom face. Now if such a face could be collapsible, that would be an idea.
