As for taxes & fees, they don't always match between the OTA's like Priceline and Hertz.com directly, but they usually don't vary more than $1 or so. You can always take your Hertz confirmation number from Priceline and bring up the reservation at Hertz.com to confirm both that your #1 Club number is on the reservation (if so, you will be asked to login if you try to modify the reservation), and the final price including all taxes and fees.
Thanks. It did seem like a traditional rental made on Priceline should count and I'm glad the consensus seems to be that it does.

Any idea what could have accounted for the discrepancy between the PL/hertz.com/counter total prices inclusive of taxes?
