I will just be traveling with a back pack, so just need to be back at the airport with enough time to get through security.

Baldwin Beach Park - Maui Bus
Kanaha Beach Park - walk
Kamaole Beaches I, II, III (Kihei) - Maui Bus

I think I would prefer Baldwin for R&R between flights. If the weather happens to be overcast around the airport/Baldwin/Kanaha, I would head for Kihei.
