I'm trying to use Avios points to fly from Toronto to Barcelona in March, returning in June. Coach is fine.

Like everyone else, I need to avoid crazy LHR fees.

I'm thinking of YYZ to NYC to BCN.

Or YYZ to DUB to BCN via Aer Lingus? Or does it make sense to do DUB to BCN via RyanAir or something?

Has anyone here got any suggestions? I'm really struggling with the BA Excecutive Club site. I'm unable to see Partner Airlines, in spite of following various suggestions I found on FT about how to get to that secret part of their site.

If I fly Iberia, which is a OW partner, can I use BA Avios directly, or should I/do I need to transfer to IB Avios?
