I'll be flying from Asia to SFO on 12/31. We take off early in the evening and arrive on the same day due to crossing the dateline. This is my first flight on New Years Eve. Should I expect UAL to do anything out of the ordinary? I recognize that because of the direction we're flying, technically the clock won't strike midnight since we're crossing the dateline, but it will be New Years about 6 hours into the flight at the point of departure. I'm not expecting much, maybe just a glass of champagne or something to ring in the new year. I'll be in business.
