+1 to much of what's already been said. I've often been frustrated at how gross the coffee makers are and how difficult it is to get the nasty coffee smell out of the coffee maker.

I've often just gone down to the restaurant to ask for a carafe of hot water or have one sent up to me if I'm feeling lazy.
