LM225, excellent hotel choice in Budapest. The FS Gresham Palace is one of the great hotels anywhere! We stayed there a few years ago at Christmas time and really loved it. Enjoy the Christmas Market a few blocks away. It's one of the best in Europe. Have a wonderful time!

SFO777! It's a splendid hotel in a very romantic city this time of year. Glad you loved it as much as we did. The Christmas markets here were among our favorites we've visited in Europe.

Apologies, mis-spoke/remembered (looooong travel day). FSPP upgrade offer was to lead-in suite without a view, which I passed on. 250EUR offer was for a river view suite, but I still passed.

Thanks for the report. I was in Budapest this autumn as well, but stayed somewhere else since I travelled with friends who are not into luxury hotels. We did, however, visit for lunch and were treated very well, especially when the F&B director who came over for a chat realised that I had visited a number of other FS resorts. The building and the views are beautiful, I will stay there next time I visit Budapest.
