Flight cancelled questions
I looked all over for this and dont see it covered. What happens when a flight gets cancelled due to mechanical reasons.
Original ticket paid for SAN-SLC 12-22 flight and after boarding and trying to reset the emergency lighting it would not work we were deplaned and waited and 1.5 hours later the flight was cancelled.
I was doing a oneway MR to get the miles needed to make MVP Gold (150 short) and had a return flight on DL using a voucher that was close to expiration.
I called the reservation desk as soon as tripit notified me the flight was cancelled (10 min before it was announced at the gate) and explained that I didn't need to be re-booked and why. No point in taking up a seat for someone that really needed to get to SLC.
So since I didnt re-book should I get the cost of the ticket back in my wallet?
