I suppose as you live in Colorado you would not feel anything anyway.
What scares me about Nepal are the high amount of air crashes and the avalanches. When you went I gather there was little snow.
For those that live at or near sea level, one might get fatigued a little faster. Since there wasn't much difference in altitude from Colorado, we didn't notice any difference. My problem was being old and out of shape.
Most of the bad press about accidents originates from extreme high altitude treks. We were on starter treks where there is little danger outside of monsoon season.

I never thought I’d see you in a Premier Inn! The Shangri-La sure does look quite dated inside, but looks like a comfortable enough base for Kathmandu. I must say the city itself doesn’t grab me as a ‘to-visit’ destination. Pokhara on the other hand looks very interesting, and much cleaner.
‘Rustic’ is definitely the word to describe the domestic terminal at KTM!! The lounge looks… interesting… I believe it is actually illegal to take photographs of airports in India!
Absolutely astounding images from your trek – really brilliant. Was your trek a private tour, or with other people? And what happened to your main luggage while you were trekking? Thanks for sharing such a different trip ^
Thanks so much Genius1 for reading the report and for your kind comments. Yeah, the Premier Inn and Kathmandu, two places that Mrs. SFO will never visit. Our tour was private, just the two of us and our guide and porter. We left our carryons at the Shangri-La in Kathmandu and used a duffel bag for clothes and toiletries for the 3+ days of trekking.
