Flying is full of rules one must subject themselves to in order to do so.
You have to be at the airport at a certain time
Your bags have to be a certain size
You have to subject yourself to TSA procedures
You have to board at ascertain time
You have to sit in ascertain seat
You have to sit and buckle up until told other wise
Etc

I think some people just get to a breaking point where they just want to do what thy want to do despite the implications. If you can't handle the plethora of rules, you shouldn't be flying.
