my last flight on NWA was on christmas eve 2009 from MSP to CWA in a bad snowstorm in a Saab 340. I thought we werent going to get out of there even. I remember some drunk idiot asking the FA "Doesnt it suck to be working on Christmas eve" She replied no not at all, its my turn. She said she been an FA 30 years and her kids are all grown and that she now volunteers every year to work during Christmas time so that all the younger FAs can be home with their kids and family ^ Had it been an AS flight I wouldve gave her an expression of thanks card for going above and beyond
