I second that you should put one adult and one child together on each record.

When I travel with my 6 year old niece on the same record I can check in online, when we are on separate records I have to have her checked in at the airport. It's never been a problem they just manually check her in an give me her boarding pass but the kiosks and dl.com won't allow records with only children to check in.
